Photo Gallery

IMG_6140This is our Photo Gallery page.  Its purpose is to let you see what the Russia Dock Woodland and Stave Hill Ecological Park look like, and why we are trying to fight for its preservation in the Downtown Defence Campaign.  These are all photographs taken by different local people, all of whom enjoy having this super area on our doorsteps.  You can click on the small image to see the full sized image.

You will also see other photographs of Rotherhithe in the collections listed below on other websites created by those who appreciate what we have here:

Some of Steve Cornish’s photographs of the area

Steve Cornish is the Chairman of the Friends of Russia Dock Woodland and when you look at his photographs you can see why he spends so much time working to look after the interests of this small but lovely corner of London.

Some of Dr Plokta’s photographs.

Mike has a terrific collection of photographs which cover not only the Russia Dock Woodland and Stave Hill Ecological Park but the surrounding docklands and channels of Rotherhithe (as well as some terrific holiday photographs from elsewhere). Here’s a small selection of photographs that he has taken in the parks.

Entomologist photographs via Kam Hong Leung

Photographs by an entomologist who has studied and photographed insects in Russia Dock Woodland over a number of years. The entomologist has kindly donated a set of photographs to Rebeka Clark, Founder and Site Manager of Stave Hill Ecology Park, in the Spring of 2008 to help further promote public interest in entomology I don’t have the name of the entomologist or I would of course credit him. They are stunning photographs.
