 Become a supporter
We have a small committee and a dedicated team of supporters, all of whom work together to ensure that the high standards achieved in the park over the last 10 years are maintained and that things continue to improve. We work very closely with the Trust for Urban Ecology, Southwark Council and other interested parties. Everyone has something different to offer, whether it is helping to clear the duckweed from the ponds to raising awareness of any problems that you might have observed by phoning or emailing us
We don’t have a formal membership but if you would like to put your name down as a Supporter of the Friends of Russia Dock Woodland, completely free of charge, please email

You will need to register free of charge, which takes a minute or two, but once you are registered you will be able to receive all the emails sent between Friends supporters and you will also be able to contribute to the conversations or add relevant news items of your own.
How to help
We are delighted when people decide to become involved with our activities, and there are lots of opportunities for helping out.
The Friends of Russia Dock Woodland and Stave Hill Ecological Park live side by side and although they are managed by different teams there is a very close relationship between the two. We carry out work very much as a joint team. You can help with our joint efforts by coming along to the Stave Hill Saturdays, which take place on the second Saturday of every month. We meet at 11am, at the Stave Hill SHED, and take on tasks from hedgelaying to pond clearance. We also meet every Wednesday at 10am. If you would like to get fit, help out, and have fun in the woodland, please contact the site manager, Rebeka on:
